Strengths of our folding doors
Designed with extensive experience and customer feedback in mind, crafted to operate effortlessly and endure prolonged use.
1. Thermal break structure
Our folding doors feature thermally broken aluminum frames and sandwich panel structure, manufactured by Findoor with a thickness 2 3/8″ (60 mm). With the best U-value in the door market, our folding door ensures optimal energy efficiency.
2. Sealing
We use high-quality weather and wear-resistant EPDM-rubber seals for our doors. These unique seals ensure a tight fit between the door panels and the door frame. Surrounding the door are strong 1″ (25 mm) seals that press firmly against the door frame. When the door closes, a 1 1/2″ (40 mm) high double seal presses tightly against the floor. The structure of the seals is designed to be frost-free.
You can find illustrative images of seals at the bottom of the page.
3. Lifting hinge
Folding door comes equipped with a steel lifting hinge as standard. This lifting hinge reduces the effort required to operate the door, allowing for easy one-handed use even with larger doors. When opened, the door smoothly lifts 3/4″ (20 mm) in a continuous motion. In addition to its effortless operation, this lifting feature helps to avoid unnecessary wear of the seals.
4. Locking mechanism
The manual folding doors feature a locking mechanism that attaches to the counterpart on the upper frame. This mechanism does not lock to the floor, allowing for a seamless threshold, except for a small floor guide in the center. The motor takes care of the locking in the electric folding doors.

Energy Efficiency
Impressive appearance
Our folding doors can be customized into a good-looking solution for every door need. You can also get your new folding doors with windows or fully glazed. Standard sizes (12″ x 24″, 16″ x 34″, 22″ x 36″) feature highly insulating and light-transmitting triple-pane thermal glass elements that remain clear for decades. Fully glazed folding doors are great for car dealerships and fire stations, where the doors must be stylish and must not obstruct the view of the interior.
There are 10 standard colors available according to the color chart. The inside and outside of the door can be made in different colors. It is possible to powder coat the aluminum frames and the other components and parts of the door in the color of your choice.

Findoor operator
In February 2023, Findoor brought to the market a self-developed and tested electric operator for folding doors. It can be used in doors up to 7 meters wide. The electric operator has been tested and developed since 2020 at our factories in Finland and Canada. It has been developed to withstand challenging conditions and heavy professional use. The operator is more powerful than other operators working with the same idea, more robust in structure, and the defects have been removed from it.
Benefits:
- Simple and durable structure
- Both sides of the door come with their own motor
- Requires minimal space at the top and sides, making it easy to install
- With motors on both sides, the door can be programmed for partial opening

Low Maintenance
Each door is manufactured in our own factory to fit the customer’s requirements. You can have the door of your desired size and appearance, tailored just for you.
Our folding doors are designed with a minimal number of moving parts, ensuring a worry-free and reliable operation. Once installed, these doors can easily last for the next 20-30 years with minimal maintenance. For more frequent maintenance needs, you can also opt for our Findoor Carefree Agreement.

Warranty
The doors we manufacture come with a two (2) year warranty.
The warranty begins when the door is delivered (delivery and pickup doors) or installed (doors installed by Findoor).
The warranty covers material and manufacturing defects that appear during the warranty period. Additionally, if the door has been installed by Findoor, the warranty also covers any installation defects.
During the warranty period, Findoor agrees, at its discretion, to repair, replace, or compensate for products found to have significant manufacturing or material defects that substantially impair the usability of the product. Replacing the product or part under warranty does not extend the original warranty period. Any repairs for defects covered under the warranty will be performed free of charge during the warranty period.
The warranty does not cover defects caused by:
- normal wear and tear
- neglect of maintenance
- improper installation (delivery and pickup doors)
- incorrect or careless use that goes against the manufacturer’s instructions
- other external factors that negatively affect the product
